With portraits of Regina Schrecker, who inspired the Master of Pop Art
After the great success of the previous exhibition, with more than 14,000 visitors from Rome, but also from all over Italy and from all over the world, the exhibition of Andy Warhol “Flesh: Warhol and the cow”.
The vernissage will take place on March 4 at 5:00 pm in Via Giovanni l’Eltore 35 (intersection of Via Cristoforo Colombo) in the new cultural space of the Vaccheria of Rome Capital in the City Hall IX, whose president is Titti Di Salvo.
The Vaccheria is a historic farmhouse, an extraordinary space with a total area of almost 1,800 square meters, completely renovated and transformed into a cultural center that will be inaugurated in September 2022 with the exhibition of Andy Warhol.
The exhibition is enriched by the inclusion of new and important works, among which stand out the two portraits of fashion designer Regina Schrecker, who was the inspiring subject of the master Andy Warhol.
Regina Schrecker, at the time Lady Universo, icon of beauty and elegance, will intervene to present her two paintings, dedicated to her by Warhol and will tell of their meeting in New York and the moments when, in the magic of the famous Factory, the Master shot many polaroids, inspired by the artistic vision of Pop Art.
The black and white photos, also on display, document and bring us back to the relationship of friendship and admiration that had been established between them.
For this exhibition Regina Schrecker, in collaboration with the designer Pino Masci, also proposes an original representation of his two canvases, exalted in the theatricality of the sculptures/easels that suspend them.
This is how the artistic contamination that only the multifaceted vision of Art can realize is represented.
It will also be an opportunity for Regina to announce the exhibition dedicated to her artistic career as a model, costume designer and fashion designer that will open its doors on 28 April 2023 in the magnificent museum of the Zerbinati Collection of Villa Morosini in Polesella (Rovigo)in the presence of Undersecretary of Culture Vittorio Sgarbi.
The exhibition “Flesh: Warhol & The Cow” curated by Giuliano Gasparotti and Francesco Mazzei and born thanks to the collaboration with Gianfranco Rosini, founder of the Rosini Gutman Collection by Andy Warhol, will be open to the public until Saturday, April 1.
